What's a holding deposit?
Everything you need to know before reserving a property
A holding deposit is a payment that allows you to reserve a property while your application is being processed. The amount is equal to one week's rent and is paid when you submit your completed application form.
Once we receive your holding deposit and application, the property will usually be taken off the market while we carry out referencing and other necessary checks.
If your application is successful and you proceed with the tenancy, your holding deposit will be deducted from your first month's rent, so you won't be paying it twice.
Please note that the holding deposit is subject to the terms and conditions of the tenancy application process, including the circumstances in which it may be refunded or retained.
